Adhoc events

Alt text

An adhoc booking is a one-time booking with no repetition. For example: Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

This type of booking is perfect for exceptional or unexpected needs, such as a last-minute change or a one-off visit.

Recurring events

Alt text

A recurring booking is a booking that repeats automatically according to a defined rule. For example: every Monday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, until June 30, 2026.

This type of booking is ideal for regular routines. One action creates all upcoming occurrences.

Exceptions

Alt text

An exception allows you to modify a single occurrence of a recurring booking without changing the entire series.

For example, for a booking of box A every Monday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, you can define an exception for a specific day:

  • change the time (e.g., 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM instead of 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM),
  • or book another box only for that date.

The exception applies only to that day: all other bookings in the series remain unchanged.

Absences

Alt text

An absence indicates that a clinician will not be present during a given period. When an absence is defined, all their existing bookings in that period are automatically ignored.

For example, if a clinician has booked a room every Monday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and is on vacation for two weeks in April, they are marked absent for that period. Their time slots are then freed and become available to other users.

Bookings resume normally at the end of the absence period.
